So, you have an issue with the software? It doesn't quite meet your business needs? What a drag that can be. I know, you can always customize the thing, that'll work..But what happens at upgrade? What a pain..There has to be a better way......

I know, lets hook up with some user group and tell THEM what we want. User groups have lots of power and influence right??

We aren't having a party, but we may end up networking..

Hi everyone,

My name is Phil and I am based in Melbourne Australia.  I have been in the SAP Industry for around 13 years and have been on a few VC projects over the years.  The first was when I started in SAP in version 2.2F for BHP, again about 3 years ago at Codan, an HF Radio manufacturer, and my current project id for a Housing Construction company.  Along the way has been some adhoc prototyping and support.

The current project is interesting as it is an SAP Home Building Solution that integrates with Project Systems. 

Thursday, October 24. A fairly typical Michigan fall day. Overcast, cool with a tad bit of wind...What made this day different than any other fall day in West Michigan??

This is question number 2 of the series and based on a presentation given at the end of Day 1, titled;

"CWG Strategy Commitee Report"

Had to think about my overall feeling about the Marco conference this time...Still not real sure, but I think it gets an overall thumbs up..

However, as a result of that thought process, it brought a couple of questions to mind. So, I think I'll list them here and in true soap opera (blogging) form, tease you with a discussion of just one...Leaving the rest for future blogs...

My Marco top 10 question list is;

The CWG conference in Marco Island is only a few days behind us, but already it promises to be one of the "legendary" ones and earn its place in history next to the brewery tour and dinner in Heidelberg :) The sunset cruise was a wonderful event and so were many other conference activities.

Drat...No wireless service again....Wireless went down Tuesday afternoon and didn't come back up for SOME people until after lunch Wednesday. I was not fortunate enough to get the wireless back, so it was kind of hard to blog...It does kind of REQUIRE Net access...

Enough whining. I can tell by the dearth of comments that you are waiting with unbaited breath for the news...

I can tell already, blogging today is going to be hard. Sat in a very good discussion about business analytics for configuration (which ran late) and I'm now in a conversation about configurable purchased materials. It's going to be real hard to do justice to the presentations and yet give you some information.

The good news is that SAP is interested in business analytics. Look for a potential focus group to continue the conversation. Anybody out there feel like

Well, Steve and I made it through our morning presentation without having anything thrown at us. in fact, we threw a couple of things into the audience!! Yes, we played "beer or no beer" PLUS we had candy as treats for those audience members that chose to participate.
