With a deep sense of sadness and loss, I would like to let all CWG members know that Don Cochran, past CWG President and a long time business partner and friend, passed away on February 10th, 2018, after a long battle with illness.

With permission of his family I am including a few pictures and would like to encourage all of you who knew Don and would like to leave a comment or a photo to help us remember him and honor his contribution to the CWG, to do so below. I will be glad to gather and forward all comments to his family.

No, I'm not singing. And I don't have the Blues..But since I'm listening to some good blues right now, it seemed to fit..

I'm thinking about what to present in Berlin at our upcoming CWG Conference..

While I enjoy presenting, I'd kind of like to do something more... Engaging.. Fun...Most importantly, meaningful to you!

Yup.. We ended up in Fort Lauderdale for the October conference... Why is it every cab seems to have a low tire presure warning light?? Is it a law or something??

Lots of hard work has lead to the release of S\4 HANA 1708.

This release DOES contain the new SAP Advanced Variant Configuration Engine (known as the AVC)..

The next major milestone is the 1709 release which is the On Premise version of S\4 HANA. This ALSO contains the new AVC!

As you might know, the October CWG Conference is fast approaching.

I'll be there again, presenting an overview on each master data object utilized in a Variant Configuration model. While targeted at the beginner in Variant Configuration, you just never know.. Maybe there will be a nugget in there for you.. And maybe just maybe, I might play the infamous "Beer or No Beer" game..

In the HTML code, add "~original"  (no quotes) to the url... Like magic, your images appear...

Over the past couple of years you have heard about a research project and an official project to define a new Advanced Variant Configuration Engine in the SAP S/4 HANA software.
